(A poem by husband Dr. Frederick Lee to his wife Dr. Winnie Tiao)

“OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE”

When I advanced into maturity, slowly and gracefully,
I have learned to be very grateful of the beautiful moments that we had together.
I cherished every minute of our time together,
Whenever you walked me to the Doncaster Train Station, you had held my hand very tight.
Those were the most precious and happiest moments of our lives.
When the Train arrived, you helped me to find my seat.
When the train pulled out of the station, you waved me goodbye; sometimes making jokes with one another, sometimes, cheerleading and dancing on the platform.
We acted and behaved like two little kids; as if the Doncaster Train Station was ours exclusively.
When I lost sight of you at the moment, I told God how very grateful to have you as my wife.
How very lucky and fortunate to have you.
I knew deep inside my heart that there could never be another woman other than you,
I have told you time and again that a billion pounds would not make me walk away from you.
The times and moments we had together were better than Paradise.
Wherever I was, I longed to be home
I phoned you several times a day
When I was home, dinner was always ready
Though simple, those were the best cooked dinners that I ever had.
Thank you, my “Lao Mei” for taking such good care of me.
Thank you for all the comforts and all the Love
Yes, I now realized that the love I had for you was unconditional,
it remains unconditional.
We were like two little streams flowing alongside one another
Divided, yet united,
We separate only at the river bed – each taking different directions to the sea
There at the Deep Blue Sea, we are fused and re-united.
Somewhere, sometime in another dimension, we will be together again
The Bond between us will continue, nothing will separate us
So please wait for me
We will be Together Again

The Song which you have always liked

“I love you with all my heart
Only you do I adore
And to know that you love me
Only made me love you more”

And The Cantonese “Pop”

“Ask Me”
“Ask Me how much I am worth
I cannot answer in a Day
Ask me who I am
I cannot answer you straightaway”
